Why SciFi Buddies Was Started:
SciFi Buddies was started in Spring 2020 by a group of SMU
college students who are really enthusiastic about science fair and how it involves research and independent thought for real life problems ! Our group of mentors has now grown to 16 and counting ! We believe you can make science fair a meaningful activity. Being involved with multiple research projects at SMU labs ourselves, we understand how science fair can be a challenging and long process with researching, analyzing, and executing. Students who do science fair may need an extra resource that they can learn from since many projects involve ideas that might not have been discussed in the classroom. Most importantly, we believe that you can make science fair a meaningful activity by pursuing science fair projects to make a positive impact on those around you and in our world !
